Accounting Officer

Location: St. Louis, MO

Department: Finance
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Exempt

Serves as an Accounting Officer responsible for accurate financial reporting and analysis. Maintains compliance with all internal Bank policies and procedures. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Record fixed asset depreciation and amortization monthly. 

  • Track fixed asset disposals and additions. 

  • Record securities purchases, sales, and month-end entries. 

  • File and maintain records for securities, fixed assets, and prepaid items. 

  • Set up amortization schedule for prepaid expenses. 

  • Assist with Budget Preparation on an annual basis. 

  • Complete regulatory reports as required. Including the Call Report and Y9SP. 

  • Prepare monthly financial statements. 

  • Accounts Payable processing and record keeping. 

  • Research and resolve disputed items or invoices. 

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned. 

  • Gather reports and documents to support the auditors and examiners as requested. 

  • Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. 

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or four or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the banking industry. Work-related experience should include an in-depth background in accounting and finance skills.
